We had a freeze recently. This is my Birdbath.

Now, remember I live in the deep south.

My Roses froze.

But the silver lining is my Camilla.

And the bush is full of buds!!

A Ritzy Rose Idea.

Well, I had Tea at the Ritz-Carlton this week! In New Orleans.

Very Nice.

And I loved the way they presented the flowers on the Tea Table.

They took a little round vase. Filled the bottom with little clear glass pebbles. The kind you find at the Craft stores in bags. Filled it with water and stuck a pretty Rose inside the Vase.

The green strip you see around the jar is a piece of border grass or something like it.

I am in search of such a vase. It was very effective on the Table.

The Courtyard in the Hotel was beautiful.

I love Courtyards and New Orleans is famous for them!

Heritage in Cool(er) Weather!

Heritage from David Austin. I talk about this Rose alot. I love this Rose.

And I think it smells even stronger in the cooler weather!

Is that possible or am I imagining it?

I plucked a bunch of Roses and stuck them in a vase of water. Then I went around finding more vases so I could stick them around my house in different places. And see them everywhere!

Just one Rose here. I walk by this table every time I go into the kitchen.

It makes me happy.

Abraham Darby from David Austin.

This is one of the most beautiful Roses.

And part of the Beauty is the Smell.

So wonderful and always seems to find your nose!

Abe seems to have be having a difficult time in my garden this year. More so than my other Roses. More Black Spot, failure to thrive, etc. I need to consider my part in this. He lives at far corner and perhaps I don't water him as much? Will need to give him a little extra TLC.

But always at least one bloom here and there make it all worth while to me.

This vase has become my new favorite!

Salvaged from an old antique shop.

It is quite tall and I had to toss aside my determination to never cut a Rose that had buds near it. I have let my Heritage Rose bush grow high so I can use this pretty old vase.

My Morning Glory Fence.

This is the outside of the fence my Morning Glories live on.

They are sharing the fence with my exotic Passion Flower.

Passion Flower is another word for exotic weed, I think!

It is overgrowing everything! So I had to trim it back. Mercilessly!

But, they do take turns.

Just about the time of morning that my Glories close up, the Passion Flower opens. Now that's nice!

Pink Salvia.

It's pretty. And Old Fashioned. And Hummingbirds love it.

The Potato Vine is great to stick in a pot with flowers. The leaves are such a pretty green.

And it even does well in the hot Louisiana summer.

I love the way it trails.

If you pinch it back, it will get fuller and bushy.

My Valentine Rose

It's like taking pictures of your child with different expressions on his face. That is what a garden is like. You keep loving it as it changes day to day.

And this is such a lovely red. The color takes so long to begin to fade. The flowers seem to last forever on this bush.

And it loves to poke through the fence in different places.

Just perfect!

Verbena

Verbena is one of my favorite flowers.

It has come back in several spots in my garden. So that makes it a free plant!

It's growing in my back garden outside the fenced patio area.

I love the way it drapes over the stones.

This area is inside my little fence.

Evidently I had red planted here as well as pink.

And in the corner near my climbing Roses,

it's quite happy too.

My F.J. Lindheimer Rose

I love the rounded look of the petals before it is fully open.

The F.J. Lindheimer is one of my favorite bushes. Named for Ferdinand Lindheimer in the 1800's, it a Texas Pioneer Rose.

It has a lovely yellowish apricot color which blooms lighter as the weather becomes warmer.

But the ruffly look of the petals when the Lindheimer Rose is fully open is really pretty too.

And it smells so nice.

It is planted right by my front door so I see it all the time.

The leaves are a pretty rich green.

The literature says the F.J. Lindheimer Rose grows to about 4 ft. I have had mine for almost 5 years now and it is almost 5 ft. And we need to take into account Gustave...the Hurricane that flattened this rose! As I cut the roses I am cutting the bush back down to a lower height.

It doesn't need much attention at all, except to pick the roses to bring inside.

I like that it really is an upright bush. I don't have to do anything and it grows just right. I feel like I can get more roses for less space. I would like some more of these upright roses!

Belinda's Dream

This is the very best Belinda's Dream has EVER been.

It did have a wonderful flush of Roses over a month ago but the bush was so infested with thrips that most of the roses were brown.

This is the bush from the back side of the fence where it peeks into my fenced garden.

A pretty rose and a good one for cutting and giving to friends.

This is where Belinda's Dream lives. On the outside of my picket fence.

This has been such a great year for my flowers.

I wonder if our extra cold winter had something to do with it.

Hello Morning Glory - Goodbye Sweet Peas

This is my beloved Morning Glory.

It's not your run of the mill Morning Glory. It grows from a tuber and comes up by itself every spring. It is about 3" across the flower front. And it stays open for many hours. Always the same pretty soft purple color.

I found it in an out of the way nursery on a car trip about 9 years ago.

I thought you would like to see a side view.

This is what the leaves look like.

To my great surprise, it showed it's pretty self in April this year.

In all years past it didn't come up until I was convinced it was dead. That was near the end of May. You would find me digging in the soil to examine the tuber for signs of life.

In the process of pruning out the Sweet Peas.

Normally, the Sweet Peas are completely dead and gone before it arrives. This year there was a conflict. There were still a few Sweet Peas left, though pretty far gone.

I had to unveil my Morning Glory and found a bloom!! Yeah!!

I want to be in my Garden even when I'm not there!

So I planted flowers that I can see from my windows.

My climbing Pink Rose is perfect here.

I planted it last fall but it has had two wonderful bloom flushes already. And blooms in between too. I think it is Climbing Pinkie but not sure.

The Rose Buds are perfect.

And the pause before they fully open are the most beautiful thing.

A slight pure Rose scent makes this rose very desirable near my back porch.

Lily of The Nile

I love these flowers. I love that the color is blue. My favorite color.

Agapanthus. I like to say the name Agapanthus. It is such a cool word.

Lily of the Nile is a prettier name though.

Beautiful transformation!

My Agapanthus lives on both sides of my Front Garden. If you look close you can see it on the right behind the little Crepe Myrtle tree.

Here it is.

The plant doesn't always die back in the winter which is nice. And I like the fluffy leaves in my garden even without flowers.

Maggie The Rose in my Front Garden!

Isn't she Beautiful?? Maggie.

Did any of you pick up on the title "Maggie The Rose"? I always think of the old move Cat on A Hot Tin Roof with Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor. Elizabeth Taylor is Maggie The Cat.

Most of you are just looking confused!

I put up a trellis so Maggie can be a Pillar Rose.

I have a Maggie Rose in the Back Garden and I loved her so much I wanted one in my Front Garden too. She loves it out here in the sun.

Maggie Rose has a slight sweet smell too, which I love.

Very Old Fashioned looking but so hardy.

She lives in the left corner behind the Lantana.

This is what my Front Garden looked like a little more than a month ago.

You have to be fast to not miss something in your garden!

I love the Lantana flower.

Here in Baton Rouge, it is more of a Shrub. Some might call it a weed since it grows so well.

It lives on the very left side of my front Garden. Right in front of the tall Rose against the brick wall.

They make sweet little Doll Posies. And in fact are cute when cut and put in a little vase. They don't last long though when cut!

The plants have cute names too...like "Bacon & Eggs" because of the different color combinations in one flower bunch. Hmm, I don't remember what this one is called.

And Butterfly's love them.

I need to put one in my back yard too. The spring is getting away from me...!!

Flowers In A Teapot!

The 'vase' is a teapot. And a Bluebird is feeding her babies.

Lady Elsie May in My Front Garden

My Lady Elsie May Rose.

It is a shrub Rose and considered worry free. My kind of a Rose.

It is a beautiful Coral Pink. And is pretty even from a distance.

Last spring I decided to re do my front bed. I had a couple of Knock Out roses that were ok but didn't show up from the street. I moved the Knock Outs and put in the Lady Elsie May.

I love the color of the Rose. And the deep green of the leaves.

I want my front bed to look pretty from the street. With flowers I love.

AND - They look pretty in a vase in my house too!

My Front Garden

I know you usually see my back garden.

But I have a front garden too.

On the right is my potted Geraniums.

I love Geraniums but after a brief spot of glory, they fade with the heat. I had this pot off my porch to clean it out and it was so happy in the full sun that I left it there. Soon I will need to move it back to my porch to find some relief from the sun.

I have Fairy Roses in the center front, with purple Petunias on either side.

Behind them are my Elsie May Roses. I will post in more detail about my front garden in the coming days.

Enjoy the sweet smell from my flowers!

My Easter Lilly

Easter Lilly blooming in my Garden.

Despite Easter being so late this year... my Lilly did not bloom until after Easter.

But isn't the bloom perfect?

And I love the way the blooms escape my little fence, looking for more sun!

It lives inside my little garden in a corner.

I know an Easter Lilly isn't exciting for most of you gardeners.

In another month this section of my garden will look overgrown if I'm not careful!

But I am always so delighted to see my Easter Lilly bloom.

It was a potted plant my daughter brought me on a Easter Day several years ago. I planted it in a corner and waited for it to die, so I could throw it away. (I hate to get rid of any plants that are alive) But, next year it grew and bloomed and thrived!! To my happy amazement.

My daughter insists that I have a green thumb. Which isn't true. It was luck that I happened to stick it in the ground in just the place it wanted to be.

I call this Rose my Valentine Rose.

I don't know the real Rose name.

It has lovely red blooms that are velvety.

The bush doesn't get very large and the flowers last forever.

Ma Perkins Rose

Meet Ma Perkins.

I bought this Rose 3 years ago when I visited The Antique Rose Emporium in Texas.

The Roses I bought were ones that were in bloom and I couldn't resist.

Ma Perkins was one.

It is a smallish bush.

It is a pretty Rose . And smells nice too.

Funny name, though!

It has not been a spectacular Rose. Flowers off and on all summer in pretty soft Roses. Never has a great show but bugs don't bother it much. Black Spot can sometimes be a problem more than other Roses in my garden. It is almost like it has just not taken off. But three years! What you see above IS the spring show!

However, it is pretty enough that I am always delighted when it blooms and have no regrets that it takes up space in my Rose Garden.

Two Roses In One!!

You are looking at my pink Fairy Rose on my Trellis.

The pretty red Rose is from the same bush.

Strange, you say?

I think the red Rose must have been the root stock for the Fairy. I really don't know much about this but I was always told to cut off anything that grows under the round ball that I believe is the crown. I didn't notice the growth until it bloomed.

I planted a Foxglove last fall and am thrilled to see it blooming happily in my garden. I am always surprised that things planted in the fall bloom in the spring!

I was told the foxglove is poison so I do keep my dog away from it. Luckily it is inside my fenced area so I can easily do this.

It is so old fashioned. I love it!

I am so intrigued by the variation of flowers.

It blooms like it was always in my garden.

I can see this lovely view from my back window. It's the first thing I do....go to the window and see how my garden has fared through the night without me.

The answer is always...Fine.

Katy Road Pink Rose in My Corner Garden

My Katy Road Pink Rose. Also known as Carefree Beauty.

A bright and beautiful pink!

I have two bushes planted in my back garden.

Katy Road is really quite a showoff!! The flowers right now are like small saucers when they are fully open. And they are pretty bug free.

A sweet ruffled flower when just right!

And they don't mind being picked at all!

Fully open they remind me of delicate paper flowers.

Everything's coming up Roses at my house!

Peggy Martin in My Corner Garden!

My Back Corner Garden on April 7, 2011

How does my Garden Grow?

I have been meaning to post a picture of my back garden but didn't get to it before it changed.

So, join me over the course of a few short weeks.

I was so proud in March! My Peggy Martin Rose was climbing and blooming. Blooms were popping everywhere! I wanted to share it with you.

And then it changed! My Home Run Rose on the left began to bloom and so did my Foxglove and my Katy Road Pink.

And then the Katy Road Pink went crazy with blooming! And the Home Run Rose was not to be out done!

Well, I picked the Katy Road Pink Roses and the Peggy Martin really started to bloom.

I only thought Peggy Martin Rose was blooming before. It is amazing!

And my Foxglove grew more stalks. And on the other side of the fence...Heritage is blooming.

It takes my breath away!

Garden Trellis

My daughter gave me this old trellis that was left in the shed when she moved into her home last year. It is a little rusty around the Humming Bird.

I LOVE it!!

Trellis when my Sweet Peas just started growing.

My daughter didn't like it because it was old.

So, we went to Wal-Mart and got her a plain old new one. She was happy.

What a deal!

Old Blush or Old Faithful!!

Old Blush is the most wonderful friend a Rose Lover could ever have!

The scent is wonderful too.

Old Blush Rose just starting to open.

Old Blush Rose is still pretty after the best of the bloom is gone.

This rose is amazing in mass. And each flower is beautiful all by itself, too!

And the bush hasn't reached it's peak yet!!

Peggy Martin Rose

This is a beautiful climbing Rose

It blooms in clusters and reminds me of Seven Sisters but..

It is not thorny!

I planted this last year and it is very happy where it lives here at my house. And it's blooming prettily.

I had seen this (kind of ) Rose blooming for the last 10 years hanging over a fence behind my shop and it trailed all over the fence and trees and bloomed several times during the summer. So I found the street it lived on and went door to door until I found the owner. I did get some funny looks, I don't mind telling you! I didn't care.

It is a dark/light pink if that makes sense.

I did find the owner but she was a very elderly lady who had no idea what "her gardener" planted all those years ago. And she allowed me to see her garden. The roses were even more spectacular on her side of the fence even though it was somewhat shady.

And it has tons of buds!

Well, the end of the story is... I saw an article about a Rose that lived through our hurricane Katrina

and they named it after the lady whose home it was growing at. So it is called the Peggy Martin Rose. I guess it has been an old rose growing in this area for many, many years but because of Katrina has become available through growers.

And I am happy!

I didn't write down what I planted and can not remember for the life of me what this rose is! I was looking for a "mannerly climber" that blooms most of the time. So I know that much about it.

I planted two last spring. One on either side of the trellis.

Last year it grew some but this year it has taken off and has lots of buds. It's pretty. And the flowers are a deep enough pink that I can see them from my kitchen window.

You can't see them all here but if I were a better photographer and used the right filter you would be able to see them.

Help me "Name This Rose" if you can!!

Sweet Peas In My Front Garden

This year I planted Sweet Peas in my Front as well as my Back garden. I love them so much, I want to plant them every where.

I love that there are different colors planted together. And it's a surprise to see what color they will be. This is a marvelous blush color.

The smell is amazing!

Duchesse de Brabant Rose

Duchesse De Brabant rose.

A friend gave me a cutting of her rose.

But I was so impatient that I went and bought myself one that was larger!

The flowers kind of droop. I can't help but get down on my knees to see the pretty faces!

It is so beautiful and sweet smelling.

Imagine my surprise to learn that it is a Earth kind rose!! That means easy to grow. And that it gets to be 6 ft. tall!! I certainly planted it in the wrong place. oops.

Trailing Pansy

I am going to be sad when it is too hot for this flower's comfort! I love the color.

My Visit to Afton Villa Gardens in Louisiana

We visited the gardens on March 9.

This is the entrance to Afton Villa Gardens.

You can see the Azaleas are just beginning to bloom. In a couple of weeks they will be magnificent on either side of the road.

Afton Villa was a Plantation Home in Louisiana along the Mississippi River. But it burned down in the mid 1900's.

A beautiful Garden was planted among the ruins of the house.

It is my favorite place in Louisiana.

And one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen.

You can visit at anytime beginning in March 1 and it is in bloom with something!

We came across the owner of Afton Villa Gardens working with one of her gardeners.

Can you believe this is her gardening garb??

She was a gracious hostess. Very Southern Lady!

There had been a downpour the day before and she told us she was "fixing" the pansies. Some of them were mashed in the rain. Then she apologized because the Tulips were not all blooming yet! Some of them were blooming but she told us she liked for them to bloom at the same time! Meeting her was a unexpected treat and added a personal touch to the day. It was obvious that this was her garden.

The grounds were all so lovingly tended.

Coming off of what would have been the house (Afton Villa) was the Formal Gardens.

This is a view from the Formal Gardens down a sloping hill to the Music Garden.

This is one of the statues depicted playing music.

In a week or two the wisteria will begin to bloom.

My favorite was the field of Daffodils. There will also be Tulips later.

A trail leads you among the Daffodils.

Daffodils are such a happy flower!

William Wordsworth wrote a wonderful poem about them!

The Family Cemetery is surrounded with Sweet Olive which was in bloom. It is the most wonderful scent you can imagine. Very subtle and elusive. You get a whiff of the scent and stop and wonder if you really smelled it. Then a breeze brings it to you again and you find yourself trying to follow the scent to get more. I love it!!

If you love to tour Gardens you should not miss this one.

My Garden in Early March

Have you ever seen a Pansy that didn't look happy?

And my Petunia's are pretty. I planted these last fall.

I will tell you the way to a woman's heart.

It is doing things for her in her garden!!

My husband put up this trellis for me just in time for my Peggy Martin. There were already canes that needed something to hang on to. I am so happy he did this for me.

And we replaced our two Satsuma trees and one Lemon tree that we lost in the hard freeze in the last winter.

Nothing to do with my garden. Just my two lazy cats!

March 1 Photos! Can you believe it?

I haven't even put up my post on pruning my roses. Which I did last week. And Old Blush is flowering amazingly!!

Of course you don't prune the Antique roses like the newer ones.

But everything just went crazy with leafing out and buds.

It's like I closed my eyes for a second and Wham!! A glimpse of Spring.

Which is coming your way, too.

You will never be sorry when you plant Sweet Peas.

I loved them so much in my back yard that I planted them in my front yard too.

And on March 1 they first bloomed!

I think Sweet Peas should be everywhere.

These photos were taken today - January 21 in the morning.

Should I put them in the front (east) window in the morning and the back (west) window in the evening so they will get more sun??

Paperwhite - Day 2

On Sunday, Jan 16 , my daughter and I each planted a bowl of Paperwhite bulbs.

Did you know? Narcissus were named after the legendary Greek youth Narcissus who was strikingly handsome. (from The Gardeners Network)

I couldn't believe it the next day when they had already started sprouting!!

A Visit To My Father In Law's House.

I was visiting my Father In Law during the "Southern Storm" and took some pictures of his yard. This is a picture of his deck and the lattice around it.

I love the lattice and the way he has fancy post tops.

I want a lattice just like his!

Ahh, another secret little path! My favorite thing!!

And the path is paved in stone, with flowers along it (well, I don't really know if there are flowers along it, but I like to imagine there are).

Best of all is the arched trellis, way at the end. I love Arched Trellis's!!

Of course, I imagine it covered with Roses.

This is the view from his back door. Lovely. But I would enjoy it more in the summer.

I don't like the cold.

I see beautiful things everywhere I go. And wonderful ideas.

And I always start arranging them in my minds eye, just as if they belonged to me. I know just where the Rose Garden would go if it were mine!

Notice the pretty trellis - I have planted Sweet Peas on it. Last year I just reveled in the ones I planted in the back yard. I want to plant them everywhere!!

I completely forgot I planted these mums last fall. They are beautiful!

And it's hard to daunt my Fairy Rose.

My sister made me this cute garden apron. I love it. It has pockets and is very comfortable.

This picture was taken about 3 weeks ago before our first freeze. The morning glories are gone now!!

The Tale of The Passion Vine

Passion Flower.

As I visit different blogs, I find that the Passion Flower doesn't always look like mine. Similar, but not the same!

My Passion Vine has become a very popular eatery in my neighborhood. These little critters are all over it and my vine is looking really chewed up!

But this is the reward!

A friend was in my garden a couple of weeks ago and she told me she felt like she was in a Disney movie with all the butterflies flitting about.

The two previous pictures were taken a little earlier in the season. Right now, I am getting the odd flower mostly up high where I can't get a photo. I am wondering just how long it will keep going with our cooler weather. And just how long is Butterfly season anyway?

Look!! This is a fruit (?) on my Passion Vine. Can you eat them , I wonder?

I have more blooms today in November than I have had all summer.

Blue Morning Glory Morning!

How wonderful to be greeted by Morning Glories when you wake up!!

The colors have returned to Blue without the purple edges.

The inside is like a Star Burst of beauty.

This morning (Sat.) is cloudy but my morning glories have their bright little faces looking for the sun!! They know which direction it will shine on them.

A Visit With A Friend in the Country

My friend has a wonderful owl in her garden. It's a Bobble Head! When the wind blows it, the head moves around. Scares the birds right off her vegetables.

I love this owl!!

She has a Lemon tree and two Satsuma trees. She has so much fruit that she gives it away generously. Lucky me!

I am a Bird Bath lover! This one is especially pretty.

Her house backs up to a Sugar Cane field.

Now, that's country!!

I brought her Roses from my garden. She had enough to fill two vases and this is a picture of one of them. I love having enough Roses in my garden to share!

Blue Morning Glories!! Curiouser and curiouser!

This picture was take the middle of October. See how bright blue it is!! I had an odd bloom now and then beginning in September.

I planted the Heavenly blue morning glory in May because I was afraid my Tuber Morning Glory had died in the harsh winter.

(don't know it's real name but the flowers are as big as Heavenly blue)

My Tuber Morning Glory. I love it as much as my Roses. I have had it for about 8 years and it comes back each summer and blooms proficiently from June to the middle of October. I have never seen it before or since I discovered it in a little nursery in the country - alas the nursery is gone.

This picture was taken today, November 1. See how the blooms now have changed color a bit. With stripes of purple?

And they are blooming Gangbusters!

My purple Tuber is done for the summer so it is perfect timing. But simply accidental on my part!

They are following the sun as it moves in the sky. AND they are in full bloom in the bright sun!! What kind of Morning Glory does that??

The vines are shading me in the late afternoon sun as I like to sit and sew in my garden.

I have come to love the blue ones!!

But, help me here!! I have never had a Morning Glory that did not close soon after the sun hit them. And do you think the Purple Tuber can be rubbing off on the "Heavenly Blue" that I planted from seed?

AND why did they just start blooming in the middle of September to go into full swing in October. I don't have the seed package now but I just picked it up at the store. Any answers??

This is the first year I have been happy with my Belinda rose. But they are blooming perfect, sweet smelling roses. I think this is the 3rd year.

And I planted some more Basil.

The Gardens of Rosedown Plantation

In the summer - blue Hydranga are in bloom on either side behind the trees. You can easily see the plants on the left.

The entrance to Rosedown Plantation as it would have been approached 165 years ago.

Unfortunately, October is not the time to go to see the flowers. But there is much more to see than flowers at this plantation.

These are two of the many statues. All of them are beautiful! There are formal walkways throughout the grounds.

The entire garden is filled with Camellias that bloom in the winter. And the smell of the Sweet Olive trees is beyond imagining! The Sweet Olive was in bloom while we were there.

We took this picture to get a perspective of the hugeness of the oak trees.

Spanish Moss - up close

Spanish Moss hanging on the trees. They used it in the construction of their houses and for stuffing mattresses, among other things.

I have Butterflies all over my Garden.

They flutter about like magical creatures!

And this is the reason!

Caterpillars all over my Passion vine.

They are eating all the leaves so the plant looks quite worn out.

But for the past two years I have come to look forward to this.

I think of it as growing Butterfly food with pretty flowers!

This is where I have the vine planted.

I am hoping to replace the trellis with a Lattice this fall.

Blue Morning Glory

Surprise, Surprise, they came to the party late!! My Morning Glory is growing with my Passion Flower.

Last spring I planted the large blue Morning Glories. I only planted them because I thought my Mutant Tuber Morning Glory had not made it through the winter. I don't think I can live happily with out Morning Glories!

I do have a left arm! It is behind my back. Forgive the "dress", it was the 70's!!!

Here I am , going to the hospital for the birth of my second child. Yes, those are Morning Glories growing in the background. It was exciting to run out side in the morning to see which colors opened.

I'm a simple girl with simple pleasures!

But my Favorite did live through our unusually hard winter. I enjoy it every morning! So I didn't care if the blue one would not bloom. But now that it has, I must say , it is very pretty.

I pulled things up and moved them last spring and haven't gotten them right yet. Too neat for me!

I thinned out my Fairy Roses and have them spaced along the front. Always blooming!

I love this plant. Each cluster is like a little posy for a doll! And different colors grow on the same bush!

My Valentine Rose in August!

My Valentine Rose seems to love the heat of August!

It gets watered often since it is inside my garden fence.

And blooms and blooms.

Here you see it next to the gate. And the unfinished brick walk. Trouble is, I have to re do the bricks before I can continue. And that's alot of work.

Pretty Periwinkles

I love the name Periwinkle!

It is also known as Vinca.

But we will call it Periwinkle.

It lives along the fence, under my Morning Glory. The fence surrounds my patio and I can sit on my porch and enjoy this pretty little flower.

I love just about any flower on a vine!

I put up the trellis for the vine to grow on. I was trying to contain it as it is ill mannered and pushes the other plants out of the way. I really wanted something that would block off the side of my porch to make me feel more secluded. But I didn't have a way to bring lattice home.

My Passion Vine comes up every year in even more places. It is quite plucky!

But it flowers more on the "other" side. Not the porch side.

Isn't it beautiful? I am amazed every day when I see it growing in my garden.
