Old Blush in Spring 2014

My wonderful trusty Old Rose.
Climbing Old Blush

A beautiful Bud.

A pretty rose.

But best of all is the overall effect of the bush blooming.

And I can see it from my window.

Where I can sit with the window open and inhale the fragrance.

Which is heavenly!

Fun Time With My Friends

I have a group of Friends who get together once a month.
We have lunch....

The Teapot was filled with flowers from the Hostess's  garden for the table center piece.

...and we sew together.

Then I went to look at her wonderful garden.

Even the Bunny statues in South Louisiana have Mardi Gras beads!

Down here in the deep South, we have had an abundance of rain.  Everything is lush and green.  I wish we could share it with you folks who need more rain.

My Favorite Secret Rose Garden in Paris

It was on the corner of a busy street.

This is a picture of the building.  You can see the arched door and to the right is the garden.

Closer up view.

The Roses were dreamy beautiful!

And the scent.....ahh!

Do you see the Rose climbing against the wall?

The most beautiful Rose ever!

There was even a Rose in a pot on the window ledge.

Stunning color.

Here we are trying to find the Metro.

Oh, how I would have enjoyed having tea in this garden!

Bunch of Roses

I had some friends over for lunch.
And picked a bunch of Roses and put them in a vase for the table!
They all seem to be pink!

And stuck some Mint in another little vase.

And Rosemary sat at the other side of the table.

Very good!

Breedlove Nursery in Tyler, Texas

While traveling from Dallas, I stopped in Tyler, Texas.  For a purpose.  I drove just a little way off Interstate 20 to visit Breedlove Nursery.  I was looking for a Rose.

Breedlove Nursery is more than rows of plants offered for sale.
It is also like a lovely garden.

The patio I would like to have at my home!

But, this is the reason I stopped by.

I needed a new Grahm Thomas Rose.  Mine died two years ago and I still had not found a replacement.  I bought two.  Grahm Thomas, I have missed you!!

Ahh, this was a little beauty!

Drift, from the family of easy care Knock Outs.

Brought this little rose home too!
