Sweetheart Rose on Flaunt your Flowers Friday.

This is the Sweetheart Rose.
It came from a cutting that my neighbor gave me before we moved across town about 5 years ago.
It's tiny, about the size of a finger or thumb.  But perfect.
Sweetheart Rose bush.
My neighbor had the rose growing in her yard for about twenty years.  She said it came from a cutting from her Mothers rose bush.

That's my favorite kind of rose.   One that came from a friends own rose bush.

This is my Flaunt your Flowers Friday from Tootsie.
Visit her for lots of pretty Flaunted Flowers!

  2. I Have always wanted rosebushes, but have been afraid of them. Those who know tell me that they are as much work as kids.

I hope to get a few (rosebushes, not kids) in the near future.

  3. What a gorgeous little rose ... and a great story about where it came from. Gardeners passing onto gardeners ... spreads a lot of beautiful blooms.

  5. Such a tiny rose but big on beauty. The plants that come from friends and family are the best.

  6. I'll have to learn how to do cuttings from roses. I have bush roses and they do great with little or no care. Just think what they'd do if I watered them once in a while.

  8. If you choose easy care (often antique) roses they can be very easy to grow. I didn't do the cutting, my neighbor did. It would be a wonderful educational post from an experienced grower. But that would not be me. Maybe someday I will be!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my roses.
