My Morning Glory Fence.

This is the outside of the fence my Morning Glories live on.

They are sharing the fence with my exotic Passion Flower.

Passion Flower is another word for exotic weed, I think!

It is overgrowing everything!  So I had to trim it back.  Mercilessly!

But, they do take turns.

Just about the time of morning that my Glories close up, the Passion Flower opens.  Now that's nice!

  1. Passion flower vines are annuals where we are (too cold for them to overwinter). I've planted them a couple of times and I love what you like about them too -- the blooms are so pretty. I put morning glories as a fence cover in one area of our yard and the fact that they grow so quickly makes them perfect for that jpb. ;) Love the way yours look!

  2. Yes, symbiotic gardening, I call it. I had a passion flower vine that, unfortunately was threatening to swallow the house so I took it out. This was about four years ago. I still see it trying to regrow in spots. :) Tenacious thing! Anyway, your combo is beautiful!
